A special Westbourne tea party is fast approaching and tickets are waltzing out.
This month on 30 May 2017, the Parish Hall will be filled with the sounds of times gone-by and the lovely smell of beautiful cakes and scones. In true Westbourne tradition, there will of course, be lots of tea and coffee.
Dancing will be ‘strictly’ encouraged but is not compulsory. Just come along and be waited on as you enjoy a Lyons Tea Rooms-style experience. There will be a prize for the best outfit! Vintage dress code is optional, jeans are welcome.
With cucumber sandwiches, cupcakes, relaxing music and much more, this is a May-treat for those living in the village and further afield.
You may have heard the fun discussions around the village in recent weeks, picking out favourite 40s and 50s music, There has even been the occasional song-burst, followed by happy chatter on this latest highlight to Westbourne’s social calendar.
Tickets, £5 each, are available from the Parish Hall on Monday mornings or from Angela Leggett after church services. If you are not able to get to the Monday coffee mornings and would like a ticket, please leave a message for Angela and the organising team via an email to the Parish Hall at sjbwparishoffice@gmail.com
The party will raise money for Westbourne Church (Registered charity number 1130732).
Now all sing, “Tea for two…”, now why don’t they sing about coffee? Coffee will be available at the Westbourne Tea Party, no singing necessary! See you there.
