Whistler’s is owned and managed by George Mee and his wife Trish, having moved to Westbourne at the end of 2008. Since then, Whistler’s has built an excellent reputation for being passionate about fish and chips and serving quality food that is always cooked fresh to order.
As well as being green in colour Whistler’s also strives to reduce it’s carbon footprint and play an active role in the community. The ‘green’ fish and chip shop only source fish from sustainable resources, waste is recycled and old oil is converted into biodiesel. George adds ‘we are always looking for ways to support local people and business. Since moving to the area we have been made to feel so welcome and part of the commuinty it really makes us want to give something back. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can help local individuals or business, perhaps through fund raising or participating in local events, please do let us know’.
Whistler’s also provides Gluten Free food and support Coeliac UK in working to increase awareness for those that suffer from Coeliac disease.
