In July Arriba! Wellness Clubs completed the first ‘Community 12 Week Weight Loss Challenge’ in Westbourne at the Baptist Chapel. The 12 week courses are designed to give our clients the necessary knowledge and support needed to achieve safe and long term weight management with a strong focus on health and lifestyle improvement. The Wellness Clubs are supported by a trained Wellness Coach Team Leader and the worlds number 1 nutrition company Herbalife. Our role is to give advice, support and coaching throughout the course and a personalised service to all our clients helping them adopt positive new behaviours for life. Each participant receives a 1 to 1 consultation before the course starts and again at week 6 with unlimited email support throughout the 12 weeks as part of the one off joining fee of £39. The classes are informal and we encourage open and honest discussion and the sharing of best practice
The Westbourne 12 week challenge was a huge success with the participants achieving a total weight loss of over 140 pounds and 190 cm’s were lost from chests, waists and hips!! All the participants went down at least one dress size and finished the course positively glowing with health and energy.
Unlike traditional ‘Slimming Clubs’ at Arriba we provide much more than a ‘pay-weigh-and go’ weight loss class. We offer coaching, support and education on healthy living and give an individualised service. We do not just focus on weight loss but overall health improvement and exercise, ensuring you lose the right weight, from body fat rather than muscle and improve your nutrition and diet. The long term health risks associated with high % body fat include heart disease, strokes, diabetes and can all be avoided with a good nutrition and a healthy diet. It is never too late to making positive changes.

As you know I was dreading going to a “Weight Loss Club” but felt that I had to do something about my weight. Going to your club was an eye opener. At first I was just concerned about losing weight but as the weeks went on I realised that was just a bonus. I learned so much about the values of a realistic healthy diet and a healthy attitude towards food. Each session was so informative but in a relaxed friendly way and the handouts made interesting reading.
It has certainly changed how I feel and how I look. I was delighted to lose 20 pounds within 12 weeks and have increased energy levels. Going to the club was the incentive I needed and I couldn’t believe that it was such good fun too. I would not hesitate to recommend the club to any of my friends and family.
